Breakfast is one of my favourite meals but most of the time it goes missed because I am in a rush in the morning. That is until I discovered overnight oats. This item can be done in so many ways and is portable. Another great thing about this recipe is that it is dairy free and vegan!
Here is my recipe for Chai Overnight Oats. This recipe make 3 servings in 3 medium size mason jars.
2 cups rolled oats
2 tablespoons chia seeds
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon cardamom
1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
3 tablespoons brown sugar
2 1/2 cups coconut milk
Mix together rolled oats, chia seeds, spices, and brown sugar into mixing bowl and stir.
Add coconut milk to mixing bowl and stir all ingredients.
Cover mixing bowl with plastic wrap or place in mason jars and store overnight
In the morning, add shredded coconut.
